LaunchPad Radio Lifts Off On November 4
LaunchPad, a new on-line radio show focusing on the innovators and innovations creating local, living, economies lifts off on November 4. First guest is Katrina Scotto DiCarlo co-founder of Supportland.com a new and innovative buy local network.
Online, November 2, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Pagatim.fm and Milagros, LLC are launching a new on-line radio show on November 4: LaunchPad Radio.
LaunchPad Radio will feature dispatches, interviews, and discussions with and about the innovators and innovations who are crafting the new economy, one that is local, durable, and authentic.
The catalyst for creating LaunchPad was conversations that producer and host Tony Fuentes was having with family and friends during the recession and sluggish recovery.
"It made me realize that a lot of folks are rethinking what 'the economy' should be and what the role of individuals and our communities should be within it." Fuentes continues, "There is real suffering happening and no shortage of finger pointing; but there is also hope and, more importantly, there is action."
LaunchPad will focus on the people who are engaging their creativity, personal connections, and personal values to rebuild and recreate the economic landscape in exciting new ways.
The inaugural show will air on pagatim.fm on November 4 and will feature a discussion with Katrina Scotto DiCarlo, co-founder of Supportland. Supportland is a Portland-based company that is bringing high tech tools to the buy local movement.
Other planned shows include a focus on the handmade, craft economy from the eyes of indie artists and an interview with Professor Charles Heying editor of "Brew to Bikes: Portland's Artisan Economy".
LaunchPad will air on pagatim.fm at 3:00pm (Pacific Time) on Thursdays. Podcasts of LaunchPad shows will also be available via pagatim.fm
