Laura Mayer: A Healing Experience From Crippling To Miraculous Recovery
Author, Coach And Workshop Leader, Mayer, Teaches The Journey From Heartbreak To Bliss. She's Interviewed by Debbi Dachinger and Tells All On DARE To DREAM Radio.
Online, November 26, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Laura Mayer, founder of Soul Dancing Healing Practice, bridges clinical expertise and spiritual knowing in workshops and individual coaching sessions; Laura incorporates her decades of experience as an Occupational Therapist, her intuitive prowess, and her healing practice of Soul Memory Discovery into a road map for those willing to take their life into their own hands. Laura knows first-hand what healing looks like and how anyone, can lay down their weapons and pick up their angel wings.
She's the author of Unlocking the Invisible Child: A Journey from Heartbreak to Bliss, a memoir based on her courage to "step out of the medical box" and a co-author in 'Healing from Within' part of the best selling series Adventure in Manifesting. Laura is currently writing her second book, Step-Up-to-the-Plate: Heal for Real. Laura's determination, tenacity, and grace are an example of possibility and provide the impetus for others to heal.
Laura Mayer spent 40 years battling a degenerative neurological disease that crippled her hands and threatened to take her life. After 18 painful surgeries and a diagnosis of incurable from the medical community, she took control of her disease by turning to alternative self-healing modalities and faith. She won the fight.
Today she is healthy, hopeful and on a mission to share her miraculous real-life story with others by giving them the tools they need to help them transform their lives and heal.
Among the spiritual and healing techniques she incorporated into her life, she credits her success with becoming deeply involved with the healing power of Jewish renewal, of incorporating davenning into her daily routine, attending on-going conferences, studies and meditation retreats with Rabbi David Cooper, author of God is a Verb, and climbing her own Jacob's Ladder.
Laura says: "This crippling disease, Anterior Horn Cell disease, was my personal Jacob's ladder. I began to see the disease in a different way, realizing that like Jacob, I, too, had the ability to go from injury to wholeness. I was awestruck that God had given me this grand opportunity to love myself completely, from the inside of my body to every person and circumstance in my life. I began to view my body as a teacher and to see my disease as an opportunity, not a curse."
Laura wrote the book to share her own self-healing experience and to help readers on their path to wholeness and health, saying "Many others who face physical challenges stemming from emotional injury, as I did, might recognize themselves in my story."
