Laureate BVI Fund Gains 4.27% in May, up 17.73% for the year by Shorting the Euro and Global Stock Exchanges

Laureate BVI Fund ranks in the top 1% of hedge funds year-to-date.

British Virgin Islands - Laureate BVI Ltd., recorded a phenomenal 4.27% in the month of May by profiting in short positions on the Euro and Global Stock Exchanges such as the Hang Sang, FTSE, DOW and Nikkei.

Laureate BVI's year-to-date returns now stand at 17.73%. The fund is ranked in the upper 1% of the top performing global hedge funds, according to Bloomberg data.

CEO Peter Tasca stated in his monthly report that the portfolio is trading as expected. Although the balance of risk model anticipated the large drop in the Euro and Global Stock Exchanges, the portfolio will not change the asset allocation model of 100% Long / 30% Short with a net Long position of 70%.

He cautions investors in getting short now in the market because we could easily see a 10% - 15% rally into the end of the year.

Laureate investment strategies have outperformed 98% of the world's most successful funds over a 3-yr, 5-yr and 10-yr average according to independent data compiled from The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Barron's.
