Lavario Launches A Series Of Self-Help Articles On Addiction
Lavario has started publishing weekly articles on how to overcome addictions. Addicts can find help and remain anonymous.
Online, May 23, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Lavario, a global provider of self-help programs against various types of addictions, has started publishing short articles on how to overcome addictions and find back happiness in life. The first thirty articles have been published on their web site now. The company states that the articles should help addicts and family members understand the nature of their problems and find inspiration in fighting their problems. The articles deal with topics such as quick tips against craving, how to deal with feelings of guilt and shame, treatment options, how to identify the triggers for craving, how to manage relapses, the role of genetic disposition in the development of an addiction, signs and symptoms of addiction, counseling and self-help programs, step-by-step approaches vs. quitting overnight, how to find the underlying reasons for the addictive behavior, differences between therapies in clinics and at home, self-help groups etc.
Lavario focuses on treatments against sex addiction, porn addiction and gambling addictions / problem gambling. According to Lavario, people affected by any of these addictions feel particularly ashamed and guilty and look for anonymous help on the internet. Often, they don't have the courage to go to a psychotherapist and prefer self-help counseling. Talking to a complete stranger about their intimate problems is harder for them than it is for alcoholics, patients with eating disorders or people suffering from depression. Lavario announced that there will be one publication per week for the rest of the year. In addition to the articles, the company has also started publishing short videos explaining how to quit addictions. These videos will be published on their web site, on Facebook and on sites like Youtube. The videos will not exceed more than ten minutes. Participants of the self-help programs receive ebooks and mp3 files and can also receive individual coaching through the team of therapists.
