Trumpet Behavioral HealthSM today announced that Linda A. LeBlanc, Ph.D., BCBA-D® will join its staff. Dr. LeBlanc will serve as consulting clinical director.
Online, September 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Dr. LeBlanc is highly regarded in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She is respected for her research and published work on behavioral treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Dr. LeBlanc also is a licensed clinical psychologist, professor, researcher, and an author.
Dr Linda A LeBlanc, PhD-Autism ExpertShe brings over 20 years of experience to her new role. Dr. LeBlanc will establish clinical practice guidelines and provide oversight for the company's 80 clinical consultants. She also will build the infrastructure needed for its staff to conduct clinical research. "Dr. LeBlanc will further strengthen our clinical leadership. Dr. LeBlanc will continue serving full time as a professor of psychology at Auburn University. She also will continue in her role as director of its applied behavior analysis graduate program.
Dr. LeBlanc received her Ph.D. in child clinical psychology in 1996 from Louisiana State University. Previously she served on the psychology faculties at Claremont McKenna College (1997-1999) and Western Michigan University (1999-2008). Her current research and clinical interests include the behavioral treatment of autism and developmental disabilities across the lifespan, behavioral gerontology, verbal behavior, and incorporation of technology into behavioral interventions.
Dr. LeBlanc has published over 70 articles and book chapters. She is currently an associate editor of Education and Treatment of Children and Behavior Analysis in Practice. She is a former associate editor of Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. She also serves as an editorial board member for The Behavior Analyst, European Journal of Behavior Analysis, Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Research in Developmental Disabilities.

Over the last 10 years, she has participated in Michigan and Alabama state work groups to revise the educational eligibility criteria for autism spectrum disorders. Her work helped specify best educational practice in autism and provided recommendations for addressing later life issues of individuals with developmental disabilities.
