Learn Proverbs And Idioms The Fun Way, Greenstone Games Announces Fee IPad App Based On T. E. Breitenbachs' Famous Poster Proverbidioms.

Proverbidioms, the poster that has made exploring and learning proverbs and idioms an engaging pastime will soon be available as an iPad app to be released by Greenstone Games.

Julian Stewart CEO of Greenstone Games announced an upcoming release of the company's new app, Provervbidioms based on the 1975 painting by T.E. Breitenbach.

The painting later became a popular poster that has intrigued hundreds of thousands of viewers since 1980. The unique and fascinating poster has been featured on TV, in song, several books, calendars, jigsaw puzzles and more. Now it is coming to the app age with more features than ever before.

Proverbidioms is used extensively in over 100 countries across the globe by several organizations, as a device for teaching advanced English comprehension to foreign students.

In response to the many teachers who have said they are using the posters in the classroom, they have created Lesson Plans. Each contains discussion, activities, handouts for photocopying, & lists of other resources. They are easily adaptable to challenge programs. The plans are to accompany the posters of the same name which must be purchased separately.

"This poster makes learning proverbs and idioms fun" said Lynn Smith of Vancouver WA, "it illustrates the irony of truisms. It's hilarious." Indeed, our everyday sayings, when taken literally, stimulate humorous, eye-opening images: imagine a real case of "butterflies in the stomach", or a "rat race"!

There are hundreds of these axioms depicted in the poster and the upcoming release of the app has educators excited and fans of T.E Breitenbach anxious to download it. Can you tell what axiom is illustrated here? There are hundreds of humorous and intriguing illustrated proverbs and idioms to keep viewers engaged.

T. E. Breitenbach is available for a limited number of school visits each year. He has talked and demonstrated to students of all grade levels from Kindergarten through College and has also worked with artist's groups and individuals.

The app is still in beta stage and no set release date has been announced although it is expected in mid-February. Interested parties are invited to keep informed from the Greenstone Games Website. http://www.greenstonegames.com
