Baptist Health South Florida will be awarded the Community Campion Award, which honors individuals and organizations that contribute to the non-profit community and have shown a great commitment to Miami-Dade County through their activism to help the most vulnerable.

"This year's honorees showcase both individual and group accomplishments. Felecia found a way to take her passion for technology and entrepreneurship to inspire and empower others, and in the process create a cadre of emerging tech innovators in Miami. Baptist Health, on the other hand, shows how a large organization can create community wellbeing through its healthcare programs and support of other nonprofits and their work. Baptist has leveraged its philanthropy to help thousands in our community."

Hank Raattama, co-chair of Leave A Legacy

The Miami Foundation will honor Felecia Hatcher, the co-founder of Code Fever and Black Tech Week, with the 2015 Ruth Shack Leadership Award. The award is given to a young professional who represents the qualities of ethics, dedication and service embodied by The Miami Foundation’s former president Ruth Shack.
