LEAVE A LEGACY© (www.leavealegacymiami.org) will honor local donors whose philanthropy has supported the efforts of 34 South Florida nonprofits at the 17th Annual Donor Next Door Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 14 at Parrot Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail in Miami

The event also highlights emerging community leaders whose work has changed the community for the better. Baptist Health South Florida will be awarded the Community Campion Award, which honors individuals and organizations that contribute to the non-profit community and have shown a great commitment to Miami-Dade County through their activism to help the most vulnerable.

The Miami Foundation will honor Felecia Hatcher, the co-founder of Code Fever and Black Tech Week, with the 2015 Ruth Shack Leadership Award. The award is given to a young professional who represents the qualities of ethics, dedication and service embodied by The Miami Foundation’s former president Ruth Shack.
