LED Lighting Pioneers at LEDtronics, Inc. Celebrate 30 Years of Reducing Energy Consumption by 90% Worldwide

Experts in LED lights to offer free, educational events and more at ledtronics.com

Today, LEDtronics®, Inc., http://bit.ly/LEDtronics, one of the first, solid-state, LED lighting design and manufacturing companies in the country, announced that they are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year with free, educational events and information to help others save time, money and energy using LED lights. LEDs, or light-emitting diodes, replace energy-consuming incandescent, fluorescent and CFL lamps and light bulbs.

"Over the last 30 years, our LEDtronics LED lights have contributed to large and small companies worldwide by saving them millions of dollars in energy costs," states Pervaiz Lodhie, LED lighting pioneer and CEO of LEDtronics, Inc. "Also, our LED Lighting products have reduced consumption by a substantial amount versus traditional incandescent and fluorescent lights. We are currently celebrating this successful history of 30 years by giving back to the community with special events about LED lights, new products and services and charitable work."

LED Light Bulbs Lead to 30 Years of LEDtronics Lighting Success

In 1983, Lodhie started LEDtronics, Inc. working on LED light bulbs with his wife, Almas, in their garage. Today, he employs more than 300 people worldwide to create LED light bulbs, LED lamps, high-intensity sunlight LEDs, PCB mount LED indicators, SMT LEDs, full spectrum RGB LEDs, UV/Infrared LEDs, and more.

LEDtronics provides products and services to small businesses up to Fortune 500 companies such as: General Electric, Caterpillar, Siemens, Square D, Cisco Systems, and IBM. The Department of Defense and other, U.S. Government agencies also seek out LEDtronics for LED lighting solutions.

"LED lights are virtually immune to shock and vibration and last 100,000 hours, or over ten years, which greatly reduces maintenance and replacement costs," states Larry Rallo, LEDtronics Business Development Manger. "LED lamps use 80% to 90% less energy than the incandescent lamps they replace, and LED light bulbs remain cool so there is no excessive heat build-up, which can influence air-conditioning costs."

LED Lights For All - Educational Events, Products and Services

To start celebrating their 30th anniversary, Lodhie recently donated LED Tube Lights to refurbish the historical, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum freeway sign. "By replacing our old, fluorescent T12 tube lights illuminating the vertical red, white and blue stripes with the 160 vertically-mounted LED T8 lamps donated by LEDtronics, our world-renowned freeway sign is consuming almost 300 KwH less per day - nearly a 57% reduction in daily consumption," states Robert C. Joyner, head of stadium operations and special projects at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission.

Lodhie also invented a way to combine LEDs with solar panels to give light to the poorest of the poor. His ever expanding, Pehli Kiran, or "First Ray Of Light," and "Barefoot Basketball" charitable initiatives help impoverished families worldwide significantly increase their education, income, safety, and hopes for a brighter future.
