Lehigh Regional Medical Center and Florida's Blood Centers sponsor a blood drive on 9/11

Lehigh Regional Medical Center in Lehigh Acres, FL, and Florida's Blood Centers sponsor a blood drive to commemorate those who saved our lives on September 11, 2001

Lehigh Regional Medical Center, in cooperation with Florida's Blood Centers, is sponsoring a commemorative blood drive today, Friday, September 11, 2009.

This drive is a community event set up as a tribute to the heroes we honor with respect and dignity, whose lives were lost on 9/11/01. The bloodmobile arrived at the hospital at 5 a.m. and will remain until 2 p.m. NBC-2 and Gator Country 101.9 FM will be covering the event.

Jose Morillo, Lehigh Regional Medical Center CEO, hospital employees and people from the community have already approached the bloodmobile to give the gift of life.
