Let It Shine cylindrical lamps, produced in 4-inch PVC and are 11 inches high are stable and sturdy and feature circular bases through which the electrical cord runs. The light fixtures within the lamps are standard, threaded sockets and the cords are equipped with a dial-type ON/OFF switch. The stylistic PVC cylinders have scalloped or filigreed top borders – one has a top composed of a series of heart shapes; another a top that resembles the fine work of a wrought-iron fence or gate – and with a series of motifs that range from hearts to butterflies to flowers. In some models, these exquisitely turned-out motifs are defined by a series of tiny perforations in the pipe and in others the blooms or butterflies “float” above the surrounding surface of the cylinder. Light is emitted through the open top of the lamp and through the lines, holes and spaces that define the blooms, butterflies, hearts and other figures. The lamp provides substantial mood-lighting and can be personally tailored by the user with colored bulbs to set a desired mood.
