LG announces Watch Urbane LTE

The G Watch R has received a luxury makeover with two new models, including an LTE version that no longer runs Android Wear.

The regular Smartwatch depends on a Smartphone to display relevant information. They have got a new one! It’s still known as Watch Urbane, but this one has LTE, a large ol’ battery, a few buttons instead of one, along with a full 1GB of RAM. Oh, also it ditched Android Wear for LG’s own wearable system. That’s right, no Android in this small watch.

LG is among the couple of vendors that finds just how helpful cellular radios may be for Smartwatches, since today it announces a 4G LTE version of its recently-unveiled Watch Urbane Android Wear Smartwatch. Not like the original, the latest Watch Urbane LTE -- which competitors Samsung's Gear S -- runs LG's own Wearable System. The South Korean company is touting it as "the world’s very first LTE-enabled Smartwatch".

Overall, the recent Watch Urbane LTE is extremely similar to the original Watch Urbane. it possesses a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.3-inch P-OLED screen display, 4GB storage space, and also water resistance and dust. However, it varies by reason of upgraded battery 700mAh, LTE radio and 3 button setup and RAM. Actually, LG is calling this the world’s first LTE-enabled Smartwatch. Exactly why we want LTE in a Smartwatch is beyond me.

Of course, there are numerous sensors inside Watch Urbane LTE, along with excellent specifications of Smartwatch. To find out more information, check out our network of Watch Urbane.
