Liberty Hardware Design Contest

Online, September 13, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Winston-Salem, N.C. - Liberty Hardware is inviting the public to help revolutionize the future of decorative home and bathroom hardware in its first design competition that begins September 13, 2010. Almost $8,000 in prize money is available to the winning designers.

The competition is open to U.S. residents age 18 and older with first, second and third place awards given in the following categories: cabinet hardware or decorative hook design; bath hardware design; and alternative installations. A panel of industry designers will review all entrants and winners will be announced on November 15, 2010. The contest is open from September 13 - October 25, 2010.

"We want to hear from consumers about what they see as the next innovative hardware design or solution for installation problems or constraints," said Bob Jennings, director, marketing services, Liberty Hardware. "Think about what you would like in your own home? How might you improve the installation of these products? What additional features or functions can these products have?"

There is no need to be a professional designer to submit a creative idea. Submissions may be illustrated in any format - hand sketches, digital drawings, or renderings - and entrants may submit up to two different entries per category (product design and installation method).
