During Toastmasters District 14 (Georgia) Spring Conference held at Evergreen Marriott, Stone Mountain, Georgia, April 26-27, 2013, Lina Surianto, was awarded the Toastmaster of the Year Award for District 14 (State of Georgia). Lina was selected for the recognition among 6000 members in the district, which is made up of 313 clubs in the entire state of Georgia.

The top honor was awarded to Lina Surianto for her enthusiasm and commitment for Toastmasters and her dedication to the organization, coupled with exceptional leadership, communication and team building skills.

Lina is a member of PB & J Toastmasters Club as well as North Gwinnett Advanced TM Club. Currently serving as Club Treasurer for PB & J and VP Public Relations in North Gwinnett Advanced TM Club, Lina has contributed significantly to the achievement of the values of Toastmasters International. Among her activities and accomplishments at both club level and beyond, she has displayed sound leadership, enthusiasm, positive attitude. She has also mentored over 50 members and sponsored 60 plus new members. She also helped struggling club succeed, chaired and served on district committees and other district leadership such as District Public Relations Officer, District Treasurer, Club President, VP Education, VP Membership, and Secretary. She has marketed Toastmasters all across Georgia, through Radio announcements and interviews with District Leaders, Public Broadcasting Television getting Toastmasters from across Georgia to participate on live on-air programming, several community events, where the Toastmasters program was prominently displayed and much more.

"To say Lina is a person of high energy is an understatement compared to her passion, commitment, loyalty, dedication, enthusiasm, and servant leader to all Georgia Toastmasters. Over and over, District Leaders current and past have reached out to Lina to assist them and she has never said "No". Personally, I don't think "no" is an option for Lina, since she challenges herself to continue to do her utmost for the betterment for Georgia Toastmasters," said Roy Ganga, Past District Governor 2010-2011.

As VP Public Relations of a new club, North Gwinnett Advanced TM Club, Lina has done an exceptional and phenomenal job. Through her marketing initiatives, this club is one of the strongest "new" clubs in Georgia with a vibrant membership and active meetings. As Treasurer for PB & J Toastmasters Club, through her enthusiasm and leadership, Lina did not just motivate her club officers to do their best; she motivated the entire club to achieve more. In Lina's accomplishments within Toastmasters, she continues to pursue personal Toastmasters educational awards, and has currently achieved 3rd time Distinguished Toastmaster award (highest level of Toastmasters award program).

For all the exceptional word she has done this year as well as in the past, it is no surprise that Lina Surianto is awarded "Toastmaster of the Year 2013".
