Lindsey Vonn Latest Accomplishment
Lindsey Vonn recent win is the World Cup giant slalom race.
Online, November 15, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The ski racing star, Lindsey Vonn, recently won the first World Cup giant slalom, and Green Bay Packers linebacker, Clay Matthews, did not miss on it. The two stars have been friends since they last met in July at the ESPY awards.
Envying his hair Vonn said "He's got pretty good hair, I'm not going to lie." The remark was however trivial to what the star had achieved in October in Soelden, Austria. Her victory has put a notice to her competitors to want to beat her in the World Cup overall title chase. She is the fifth women in the entire world to have won races in all the five disciplines.
The gold medalist winner at Olympics has taken over the season's start with quite a twist. Apart from capturing the giant slalom race, her homecoming made her dance with a teenager, who was indeed strong enough to ask her out.
Vonn though has a tough battle still. Not only does she needs to stay sharp in her skiing, she also needs to manage her life well. She is completely in-love with speed, both at work and in real life too. Her dates' calendar is completely full and there is but one person who needs to take care that Vonn does not get overtaxed. Thomas Vonn, Vonn's husband is constantly watching over her and knows when she has had enough of it.
The recent victory at Austria to the already winner of 42 World Cups, makes her ski "with a lot more of freedom, a lot more relaxed." Vonn however has caught up the limelight recently also because of her relationship with Hoefl-Riesch. "We want the story to be about ski racing and not about tabloid drama," Vonn said. "That's not good for either of us and I don't think it's good for the sport."
