Links of Hope Raises Over $7,000 for Hope House.
First Charity Golf Tournament Helps Not-For-Profit Reach Budget for 2010.
Online, October 5, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Overland Park, Kansas-October 4, 2010. TITLE Boxing Club's first ever charitable golf tournament was played at Eagle's Landing on Monday, September 27, 2010. Between 15 team fees, sponsorships, mulligan and shot sales, and silent auction funds, Hope House netted $7,216.25.
"This is just so wonderful, and all that raised at a first-time tournament is amazing! This fundraiser held with just 3 days remaining in our fiscal year assured Hope House met its private fundraising budget. Making budget is something that's extremely important to any charitable organization," said Nancy DuVall, Chief Development Officer, Hope House.
With such great response, TITLE Boxing Club will make this charitable golf tournament an annual event.
"Teams will be limited to 18 to ensure timely play. We are in the process of choosing a date and plan on hosting the 2nd Annual Links of Hope in September, 2011," said Tom Lyons, Co-Owner of TITLE Boxing Club.
Local and out-of-state businesses participated in the tournament.
