Online, May 1, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The British contemporary figurative artist Lisa Andrews is exhibiting her latest work at GG Gallery, Notting Hill, London.
The Gallery is situated in the heart of Notting Hill and is directly next door to the Travel Bookshop, made internationally famous through Richard Curtis's film, Notting Hill, starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. It also attracts a number of famous faces with Kate Moss, Jade Jagger and the Branson family having all been in for a browse.
Lisa has a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art from The University for The Creative Arts in 1995 but she only began painting professionally 2 years ago after a 14 year gap. Astonishingly, for a new and emerging artist, within only a few months of her return, she was exhibiting with a number of respected international artists. Her work has also been selected for inclusion within curated exhibitions and collections at The Saatchi on-line Art Gallery, and appeared in numerous magazines and art periodicals receiving critical acclaim.
GG Gallery is renowned for nurturing emerging talent and promoting the best contemporary art around. Previous exhibitions have included Paul Freud, first son of the late Lucien Freud; the groundbreaking and controversial art of Kristian von Hornsleth and Max Wiedemann, the only artist asked to display his works in the Green Room at the MTV Music Awards.
The exhibition of Andrews' paintings at the highly regarded GG Gallery is a further sign of her growing reputation as a rising star of the art world and her increasing recognition and popularity as a British contemporary figuartive artist.
