Native New Yorker Lisa Bianco issued her highly anticipated EP release, Momentum, in November of 2011, and re-issued an enhanced mix version with improved packaging in June of 2012. In the wake of its successful release she was selected to join the artist roster of Daisy Rock GuitarsĀ® along with other notable artists such as Amanda Palmer of Dresden Dolls, The Veronicas, Avril Lavigne and Hayley Williams of Paramore. Momentum showcases Lisa's songwriting, singing and electric guitar playing to her great advantage. Every tune on the EP reflects her well developed artistry and her uncanny knack for great melodies, engaging lyrics and hook-laden guitar riffs. And Lisa isn't afraid to pull out the stops in her live performances with a high-energy show that features a determined yet rich voice that's seductive and impossible to resist, great songs and energetic, tasteful guitar playing. Her shows are great fun and erase the distance between artist and audience.
"[A] unique style which includes Lisa's impressive guitar chops and infectious, hard driving melodies."
-Tiffany Razzano, The Queens Chronicle
For those who don't know, CBGB and OMFUG stands for Country, BlueGrass and Blues and Other
Music For Uplifting Gormandizers. The landmark rock club is forever a part of history as the birthplace
of punk rock. Founded by Hilly Kristal on the principle of only showcasing artists who performed original
material, by 1976 CBGB was a hot bed of what would later be considered iconic music talent including
the Ramones, Patti Smith Group, Talking Heads, Blondie, Television, The Dead Boys, Suicide and The
Fleshtones, just to name a few. In the next decade, the first wave of hardcore bands played legendary
Sunday matinee line ups that included Bad Brains, Agnostic Front, The Beastie Boys, Cro-Mags, Sick
of It All, Misfits, Murphy's Law and others. More international stars walked through the doors or
appeared on the stage at CBGB than any other venue in New York City, ranging in styles from The
Police to Green Day to Guns & Roses to Alan Jackson.
