Lisa Manzione's Children's Book Series, The Adventures of Bella & Harry, To Debut Live Performances At The Broward Center For The Performing Arts

Online, February 21, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Boca Raton, Fla.- With the arrival of Lisa Manzione's children's book series, The Adventures of Bella & Harry, parents and children em-barked on educational and fun-filled journeys across the globe with a pair of jet-set pets that foster education and appreciation of diversity. The award-winning series is now taking to the stage with Let's Visit London! debuting on the roster for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts' 2012/2013 season.

The live performances, directed by Kevin Black Productions of Ft. Lauderdale, will feature interactive sing-alongs, as the children join Bella and Harry in their adventures through London. The play will be offered as a field trip for 1st - 3rd grade students and a family showing will be offered on weekends.

The series, which debuted in February 2011, chronicles the humorous tales of a young and spunky Chihuahua, Bella, and her little brother, Harry, as they travel with their human owners to exotic locales around the world. By introducing children to foreign customs, history, landmarks and languages at an early age, the series stimulates children's imaginations and fosters a thirst for understanding the world in which they live. Children will now get the chance to see their favorite globetrotting duo come to life on the stage and will have the opportunity to meet the Bella and Harry live actors after the show for pictures and paw print autographs.

The book series will be available for purchase after the show so that children can bring a bit of the magic home with them. Five percent of book proceeds benefit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty for Animals, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation.

Dates for the showings will be announced in May and the Bella and Harry live actors will be in attendance at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts season kick off at Parker Playhouse with another educational canine family favorite, Clifford the Big Red Dog, on May 5th.
