Little Anthony and The Imperials and Mark Farner to Play Odawa Casino Resort This Fall

Online, August 20, 2010 (Newswire.com) - This fall, Northern Michigan's Odawa Casino Resort hosts two acts who have each left their indelible stamp on popular American music. Odawa Casino Resort is located in the beautiful resort town of Petoskey, Michigan.

Little Anthony and The Imperials got their start in the late 1950s, with songs like "Tears on My Pillow" and "Shimmy Shimmy Ko Ko Bop." They continued to make R&B and pop chart-topping hits through the 1970s, and in 2008 they released You'll Never Know, a collection of new songs and re-recorded oldies. The 2009 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees take the stage in Odawa Casino's Ovation Hall Saturday, September 11th at 8pm.

Mark Farner is most widely known as the leader of one of the most popular American bands of the 1970s, Grand Funk Railroad. Together with the band he recorded 17 albums, and on his own he recorded nine. The Flint, Michigan native will play Odawa Casino Resort Saturday on October 2nd at 8pm in Ovation Hall.
