Live Concert to be Held in Dallas in Support of the Humane Society of North Texas
To raise money to benefit the Humane Society of North Texas, a live concert featuring some of Dallas' most talented bands is being held April 29 at Skillman Street Bar in Dallas, TX
Online, April 19, 2010 (Newswire.com) - (FORT WORTH, TX)- Live music event organizers Dillon of DandB booking and Stephen of Lil'RockerSteve promotions have teamed up, announcing they will be sponsoring a mixer with live music to help raise money to benefit the Humane Society of North Texas.
The benefit-which will be featuring three of Dallas' incredibly talented bands-will be taking place on Thursday, April 29, from 6pm-11pm at Skillman Street Bar, 9220 Skillman Street in Dallas. The bands headlining the fundraiser include Scotty Thurman and the Perfect Trouble band, KERIS, and Josh Langston, who is nominated TMA album of the year.
"This concert is a perfect way for families to come out and have a good time while at the same time supporting an organization that generally cares for mistreated animals," says Stephen Page, co-sponsor of the event. "Our goal is that through the benefit we can raise money that is necessary to help take care of animals in need."
They have also announced that 30% of all of the paid admission revenue generated from the concert will be donated to the HSNT, so the admission fee of $15 not only provides you with three of the area's top bands performing for you & your family, from the leading night club for superior live sound and lighting, but also with a sense of good doing.
The band schedule for the night is as follows:
7:00-8:00-Scotty Thurman and The Perfect Trouble Band
8:15-9:15-KERIS
9:30-11:00-Josh Langston
"Kids under fifteen will be admitted to the event for free. We are encouraging people to come out and make it a family night," says Stephen. "The venue also has a full kitchen so food and beverages will be available along with the non-stop entertainment."
"I have seen firsthand the wonderful work that HSNT does and it is a privilege for me to be involved with a benefit for them," says Dillon.
HSNT will be at the event from 6:00pm-7:30pm providing their onsite Adopt-A-Pet services so people will have the opportunity to make a pet a part of their family.
