Durham Public Schools - Thursday February 10th
Presented by: Elaine Roark
Durham Public Schools (DPS) is a K-12 North Carolina district school system. The new leadership of the district was very interested in managing school improvement projects using a full project management discipline.
While every school at DPS (53 schools) has a school improvement plan, there are 14 schools that use BrightWork for the "Plan Management Tool" to enter, track and manage their school improvement plans. At DPS, we developed a layman's methodology (hence the use of "Plan" instead of "Project") that stands apart from the tool. The tool's implementation was based on this methodology.
