Living Out Unique Dreams' 2nd Annual Black-Tie Gala to be Held on July 25, 2015
Kissimmee, FL , July 1, 2015 (Newswire.com) - According to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, mentoring has been proven to improve a youth’s self-esteem, behavior, and academic performance. Program Manager Tracey Rey is striving to make a better tomorrow today by providing mentoring services to the at-risk youth population with her charitable project, Living Out Unique Dreams (L.O.U.D.).
On July 25, 2015, L.O.U.D. will be hosting their second annual fundraising and black-tie gala at the Poinciana Community Center located at 395 Marigold Avenue, Pociana, FL 34759 from 6pm to 11pm. The gala will focus on raising money to buy materials, supplies and education to help the staff at L.O.U.D provide mentoring programs to at-risk youth.
The black-tie event will feature guest speakers, live entertainment, door prizes, drinks, and dinner. Tickets to attend are $25 and can be purchased by emailing L.O.U.D. Program Manager Tracy Rey at [email protected] or by phone at (321) 205-5699. There are also several sponsorship levels for those interested in sponsoring the event. Their goal is to raise $16,000 at the event.
“The youth are our future generation of leaders. Therefore, it is extremely important that we embrace all of our youth, including those at-risk, so that they may have an equal opportunity to live sustainable and productive lives,” Rey said. Rey believes that many at-risk youth become re-offenders because there is not enough focus on rehabilitation within the community. Her goal is to change that by providing the community with more mentoring programs.
The charitable mission of L.O.U.D. is to empower and embrace at-risk youth within the community. L.O.U.D. strives to promote self-confidence, personal growth and problem-solving skills that will impact their everyday lives resulting in a successful future. L.O.U.D. is dedicated to providing hope to those who are victimized by drug abuse or gang violence. Their purpose is to expose youth to alternative lifestyles and opportunities, in the midst, we will engage in community service projects that may provide leadership opportunities for our youth.
L.O.U.D. is sponsored by UCP, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fiscal sponsor of active charitable programs. By having UCP sponsor charitable programs, people like Tracy Rey are able to focus on their program’s charitable mission, rather than on the administrative burdens that an independent nonprofit can have.
