Local business owner discusses his favorite pizza place
Online, January 27, 2010 (Newswire.com) - (Sacramento, California). When most people talk about their days growing up and what they miss about living close to home, you may hear people give answers such as family, friends or even the weather. But sitting down with local business owner, Mark Snyir, we discovered that there is more to home than just family and friends.
"Being from Pittsburgh is very special thing, that if you're not from there, you just won't get it" Snyir states. "Sure I miss my family and friends, but when I go home to visit, I go back for 3 things, see the Pittsburgh Steelers, drink Iron City Beer and go to the original Vincent's Pizza Park".
Snyir speaks from experience. Whenever he travels home he makes it a point to have his family stock up on his favorite beer that he cannot get in California, unless he spends $50 dollars to have it shipped. He also always gets a crew of his friends together to go to his favorite pizza place, Vincent's Pizza Park.
"I have some family and friends that prefer Mineo's Pizza and some prefer Luciano's pizza. But hands down, Vincents' is the best. And since they can get what they want anytime, they usually let me decide where we go."
For Snyir, it all started when he was in college and his professor recommended Snyir and his friends try Vincent's for lunch. After that, Snyir never looked back.
"I couldn't believe the stories he would tell" business partner Chad Arnold explains, "we would drive in for the weekend and even if Vincent's was an hour out of the way, we had to go. It's a staple in his life. It's what makes Mark happy."
Not a day goes by that Mark doesn't try to find good or proper pizza parlor in the Sacramento area. We've looked, there are a few, by none really compare to the grease and cheese levels you'll find in Pittsburgh.
"They say you can't take it with you when you die" Arnold states, "but when Mark woke up from his coma, first thing he wanted when they removed the tubes from his mouth, was pizza".
