Local Charity Retreat To Help Victims of Rape

Online, February 3, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The On One Accord Foundation, OOAF is introducing the first of many one day retreats for Adult Incest Rape Survivors (A.I.R.S.) at The Grand Del Mar, in San Diego on March 19th. The retreat features many well renown clinician's in sexual assault. There will be B-L-D, mediation, yoga classes and a program on how to continue living after incest rape by giving attendees 'A Reason To Survive'. A.I.R.S. can apply for one of many $1500 grants for the retreat. OOAF's goal is to sponsor approximately 20 A.I.R.S, on a first come basis; deadline is Feb 12th to apply. The goal of the event is to help victims find ways to heal. Calethia Horton, the founder & chairman, of OOAF says,"It is important that we (OOAF), provided inspiration and resources, to survivors to come together to explore the different types of healing techniques, by providing some of the best clinician to come and speak to our survivors." This will be a safe environment for survivors to share their story and learn from professionals and each other. Volunteers and interns are needed to help out at the event.
