Local Michigan Company Celebrates Five Year Anniversary

As part of a new initiative aimed at giving back to the community, Team Facilities, Inc. is donating funds to local charities and saying thanks to their customers.

Since its inception in 2006, Team Facilities has been providing professional facilities management and long term asset sustainment of building systems for competitive operations of their customer's facilities. They help clients keep the focus on their core business and not on the day to day details of managing their facilities.

As Team Facilities enters their 6th year in business they wanted to say thank you to their clients by making donations to some of their clients' favorite charities. The company is celebrating not only their accomplishments, but the relationships built during these first few years. Team Facilities prides itself on longstanding relationships and superior customer service.

"Our first five years have been great and our team wants to become actively involved in the many communities we serve in Southeast Michigan," said Tom Cook, President/CEO of Team Facilities. "We look forward to continuing to get more involved in community partnerships in the future."

Tom Cook has spent the last 38 years managing all areas of facilities operations including commercial and industrial. He holds a B.E.E. in Electrical Engineering, a B.S. in Management and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

He was a Facilities Engineer, Facilities Area Manager, and Regional Facilities Manager for General Motors Corporation for thirty-five years, responsible for managing GM facilities nationwide, including manufacturing plants, research laboratories, test facilities, pre-production operations, commercial office buildings, and warehousing.

Team Facilities is a shining example of new business and opportunity in Michigan. With a history rich in entrepreneurs like Dow, Kellogg, and Ford, there is a record to draw on as Michigan is undergoing a transformation to meet the needs of a 21st century economy. The available workforce, the quality of life and the affordability for business startup has played a role in the success of Team Facilities. Giving back is just one of the ways the company supports its belief in Michigan and the communities they work with, and is a perfect way to invest in building a stronger Michigan.
