Local Rapper Seeks To Unify Streets Of Los Angeles With New Single L.A. Anthem
Online, February 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Money Mone, of Inglewood, CA, seeks to bring the streets of Los Angeles together with his new single L.A. Anthem that promotes unity amongst Los Angeles' rich and diverse cultural backgrounds.
Growing up in Inglewood, Money Mone has seen his fare share of crime and violence, and decided it was time to make a song that is meant to bring people together.
"L.A. Anthem is an all inclusive street anthem. I was careful to include anyone I felt could relate to my story, which is the story of Los Angeles," Money Mone said at his recent listening party in West L.A. He continued, "Some people don't realize how divided L.A. can be at times. That's why I am here to promote unity."
Money Mone has been rapping for almost a decade, since his early days in high school. When he first started rapping, it was for the fame and notoriety, now that he has matured, he sees a bigger purpose in penning his lyrics.
"It's bigger than me. I have an obligation to give back and support the community that has supported me," he said when asked what his motivation for rapping is today. He also goes on to say, "Although there's a message in what I'm saying, the music is still aggressive. It has to be!"

Money Mone eventually wants to start a foundation that helps inner city youth achieve their goals by learning a trade or going to college. He sees that as a necessary step in the evolution of the youth call the inner city home.
In the meantime, Money Mone is focused on honing his craft and the careers of those currently on his label so that he can be a positive example to those in his community and beyond.
