Local Woman Author Hosts Conference For National Survivors Of Suicide Day In Spokane, Wa.

Online, November 1, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Leslie Stickel, author of Hope Defined, will host a conference in Spokane Washington for National Survivors of Suicide Day. Every year, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention sponsors this event to provide an opportunity for the survivor community to come together for support, healing, information and empowerment.

National Survivors of Suicide Day is a day of healing for those who have lost someone to suicide. It was created by U.S. Senate resolution in 1999 through the efforts of Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada, who lost his father to suicide. The day is always the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This year it is November 20, 2010.

The conference will take place at Park Heights Church, 5101 S. Freya St., Spokane, WA 99223 on November 19th, 2010. 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Registration is $10 and individuals can register at www.hopedefined.com.
