Local Woman Has Book Launching Party June 23rd For Self Published Book That Supports Victims Of Suicide
Leslie Stickel writes Hope Defined, a book about how to deal with loss and has book launching party June 23rd.
Online, June 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Portland, OR June 21, 2010 - Leslie Stickel lost her mom to suicide on November 13, 2004. She knew immediately she would either be consumed by the pain and guilt this tragedy ignited or she could look to all that is good and right in her life to give her hope. As a result, she has written, Hope Defined and designed a unique set of sympathy cards called Testify Hope. She is also an inspirational and motivational speaker.
Leslie says; "I place my hope in the good things. Loss is universal. It is something we all can relate to. However, it is also an intimate and often times lonely place to be. I had to learn to live with my loss, not in it."
It is Leslie's goal to develop an online community where people can support one another through a unique and tragic loss; connecting survivors with one another through a confidential, safe and comforting place to share stories and feel less alone. Proceeds from the book, Hope Defined and the postcards, Testify Hope will go to the development of the Hope Defined website.
The Hope Defined book launching party will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2010 7:00pm - 9:00pm at Rocket Market 726 East 43rd Avenue Spokane, WA 99203-6212
