Lombardo's Function Facility Completes Redecoration Project

South Shore Family Business Survives Recession & Prepares for the Future by Reinvesting Profits Back Into the Business In Order to Continue its 47-Year Tradition of Providing Exceptional Service

[RANDOLPH, MA] - While most Massachusetts businesses are starting to show signs of a recovery after dealing with the country's worst economic depression in over 70 years, one local family business not only survived, but is already investing in the future. The Lombardo family, owners of The Lombardo's Conference and Function Facilities, Randolph, Mass., recently completed a six-month long, redecoration project.

"We survived the recession by lowering operational costs in order to continue providing the exceptional service our customers have come to expect in our nearly 50 years in business," said Paula Lombardo, Chief Administrative Officer. "Now we're concentrating on the next 50 years with a investment into the decor of our facility in an effort to not only meet, but to exceed the changing needs of the marketplace and to further enhance the event experience for our customers and their guests."

When Lombardo's closed its East Boston location in 2000, the Randolph location became the sole focus for the family business. "The foundation of our success stems from the complete experience we provide for our customers; this includes providing an up-scale decor, high-end cuisine and top-shelf service at reasonable prices," Lombardo said. "The renovations not only enhance the ambiance of the facility for our wedding and social event customers, but also improve the experience for our corporate customers with brighter lightening for better visibility and customizable color programming."

Renovations and redecorations by Carroll Design Studio include:
•A new, neutral color palette of silver, charcoal and taupe to fit any event and theme
•All common areas, corridors and ballrooms feature new carpeting, ceiling tiles and wall coverings
•The ballroom lighting was enhanced with a bright white ceiling, six coiffured soffits and shirred silk and crystal pendants. The murals were also replaced with beautifully-crafted, sculpted panels.
•The bars have been dressed up with sculpted panels, cherry millwork and granite countertops
•The lobby areas now feature new furniture
•The fountain was removed from the Rotunda to make room for a larger cocktail area
•A new LED lighting system with programmable colors was also installed, allowing customers to fully control the look, feel and ambiance of the event space

Lombardo's signature piece: the famous, landmark chandelier - seen in nearly 50 years worth of prom photos throughout the South Shore - remains unchanged, as the focal point above the grand staircase.
