Lord John Monks To Address The Delegation On EU Employment Law At The Annual PEEL Club Conference
Online, August 22, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Personnel Experts in Employment Law - The PEEL Club - is to host its 3rd Annual Conference on 7th October 2011, London. Once again, the club has an exciting line up with some high-profile speakers delivering practical, informative sessions, including Lord John Monks who will be reflecting on the impact of EU employment law and industrial relations law and prospects for the future and Ed Sweeney who will be speaking on the subject of Solving Employment Disputes. The Conference also includes workshops which are run by some of The PEEL Club members, which will give all delegates a chance to explore topical and controversial issues. There will also be ample opportunities to network with other leading HR professionals from public, private and not for profit sectors.
The PEEL Club has evolved over 25 years from being simply an updating service to a membership body that provides continuous back-up in terms of website support, a quarterly newsletter and an opportunity to attend a study visit to EU policy and law making institutions and to meet colleagues from the EU. Furthermore, the PEEL Club offers continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities to undertake an award programme in employment law. This builds from a Certificate, through to Diploma into a full LLM in Employment Law.
The PEEL Club conference is to be hosted by Professor Patricia Leighton, who is a leading expert in UK and EU employment law. She will be joined by guest key note speakers, which include Jude-Martin Etuka of Capita People Development who will introduce the Survivor Syndrome - a condition associated with a post redundancy work environment - and the solutions to overcome the negative impact of redundancy on the remaining workforce.
The event is aimed at HR managers, HR Directors, HR Advisors, HR Policy Managers, Employee Relations Analysts, Learning and Development Managers and Advisors, Personnel Advisors, Equality and Diversity Managers, Employee Relations Officers and trade unionists. The atmosphere is always relaxed and co-operative and law is presented in an accessible way, which is reinforced by quizzes, games, case-studies and experiential learning.
