Los Angeles Entertainment Publicity Company, Harris Image Management, Is Now A Part of Marlo Enterta
Online, October 2, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Burbank, CA (October 1, 2009) - Marlo Entertainment, Hollywood's newest independent entertainment studio - covering film, television, gaming, and music - has brought the celebrity and entertainment publicity company, Harris Image Management, under its expanding company umbrella. Harris Image Management, whose publicists represent a number of singers, musicians, films, and other clients, had already been handling publicity for Marlo Entertainment and Marlo Productions, but as an independent entity. Marlo decided that having full oversight of the publicity company was the smartest way to go, while also allowing the studio to expand its reach into other areas in the entertainment business.
"We have in the works, a lot of deals on the table," said Dianna Perales Harris, the Chief Operating Officer of Marlo Entertainment, and a producer with Marlo Productions. "And this arrangement fits perfectly into our plans. We intend for the Marlo brand to reach into a lot of areas in entertainment so having the publicists and image management expertise of Harris Image Management as an in-house asset to us, coupled with their ability to make sure we are reaching out and working with other talent, whether they are associated with Marlo Entertainment, is a great step."
As Dianna Harris alluded to, Harris Image Management, will operate as a stand alone publicity firm, while handling Marlo's entertainment operations. That will allow the company to sign and represent projects and artists that are not involved with Marlo. But it is also clear that the linkage of the two companies has great benefit to both. Marlo Entertainment will be able to expand its involvement to projects outside of its own line-up and the publicists of Harris Image Management will have access to upcoming projects and information within the Marlo sphere that might be good cross-promotion opportunities for its clients.
Together the two companies also bring a synergy and power that can only come from the advantage brought by the marriage of what they both do. Both companies, for example, were recently involved in the Women In Film International's short film festival, "A Night of Palestinian and Israeli Film and Culture" held in Los Angeles. Harris Image Management was an official sponsor of the event and lent its publicity services while Marlo Productions was represented by Dianna Perales Harris as one of the event's producers as well as several Marlo associates being involved in helping to pull the event off.
Pulling the image management company under its umbrella is just one of many steps Hollywood is likely to see from this eager new studio as it makes itself known in Hollywood. As Perales Harris said about Marlo Entertainment, which has a number of projects in the works, "We've been around awhile, but in a way we've only just begun."
