Love Your Pet a Little More With This Pet Care Benefit From FEBC

Feb. 20 was National Love Your Pet Day. So, while local news outlets collected readers’ pet photos and Vogue magazine detailed the lives of celebrity pets, did you love your pet? A lot of pet owners would probably say they love their pet every day. And while most pet owners can’t create a $30 million trust to protect their four-legged friends like Oprah did, they can show their love in other ways. Financial Education Benefits Center (FEBC), a membership benefits company, is offering a pet care benefit to eligible members to help them better take care of and, yes, love their pets.

“Our pets can bring us a lot of joy — and a lot of work, too,” said Jennifer Martinez, manager at FEBC. “So loving our pets means giving up a lot of time and energy to take care of them and keep them healthy. Our new pet benefit is for the pet owner looking for a little help.”

The pet care benefit offers discounts on a variety of pet-related necessities including: certain services of participating veterinarians, pet prescriptions, and pet-sitting and boarding. The benefit also offers lost pet recovery services. This benefit can apply to any kind of pet, no matter the age or species.

Pet care can become costly and may hit pet owners hard if an emergency arises and there is no time to prepare for the additional cost. Whether pet owners have to board their dog on short notice or their cat suddenly develops a serious medical condition, discounts at participating service providers may be a relief during a time of stress.

And while no pet owner likes to dwell on it, sometimes a pet goes missing. The benefit also offers assistance locating lost pets to FEBC members who have registered their pet with the location service provider prior to the pet going missing.

“We don’t want the difficult parts of caring for a pet to get in the way of loving your pet,” said Martinez. “So this new FEBC pet care benefit can help make pet care go smoother — for your sake, and your pet’s, too.”
