LSG Hosts a Blood Drive in Association with American Red Cross
Online, October 6, 2013 (Newswire.com) - LSG, the leading software application and business process outsourcing company teamed up with the American Red Cross, a humanitarian and non-profit organization best known for their emergency assistance and disaster relief, to host a community blood drive at LSG's headquarter office in New York, NY. All tenants and employees of the office building were invited to donate blood and LSG employees were encouraged to participate in the donation. The blood drive was held on September 19, 2013 and included attendance by members of the Philadelphia office.
Blood donation is always needed as blood is always in high demand and supply is short. According to the American Red Cross, more than 44,000 donations are needed every day and about 5 million patients receive blood in a year. All LSG employees who were eligible to donate participated proudly.
Gary R. Markham, Chief Executive enthusiastically stated, "LSG is a part of this community and we must do our share to help others in ways we can. This blood drive is one of the ways we can give back. I would like to thank the American Red Cross for this successful event."
