Lucent Group's Lincolnshire Lakes Development's Planning Blueprint to Receive Public Hearing

Douglas, Isle of Man, October 13, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Examination proceedings between North Lincolnshire Council and an Independent Planning Inspector will take place over three days beginning Tuesday 13 October. Lincolnshire Lakes is North Lincolnshire’s largest and most anticipated development and is expected to provide thousands of new homes in several sustainable villages to the west of Scunthorpe. The public is invited to observe.

London, UK - October 12, 2015 - A government-appointed Independent Planning Inspector will examine the Lincolnshire Lakes project on 13, 14 and 20, October in Scunthorpe. The development is expected to create six new self-sufficient villages and add 6,000 new homes, as well as schools, businesses and leisure facilities. While discussions will take place between the inspector and the North Lincolnshire Council, the public is invited to observe the proceedings.

Lucent’s project will create the two villages on land between the western edge of Scunthorpe and the River Trent. These villages will be marked by superior quality amenities. Five lakes will be developed, allowing the villages to be set within an attractive waterside milieu with opportunities for leisure, sport and recreation.

Working with highly experienced partners, the Lucent Group’s scheme will be instrumental in delivering the Lincolnshire Lakes concept as adopted in the North Lincolnshire Council’s Core Strategy and set out in the emerging Lincolnshire Lakes Area Action Plan (AAP). This plan was published for public consultation in late 2014 and was submitted to the Government for independent examination of March 2015.

Mrs Sarah Housden is the Government-appointed Independent Planning Inspector who will be conducting this examination. The examination takes place over three days and each session will cover specific but different issues. Only those whom the Inspector has invited can participate in the review process, however the public is welcome and encouraged to observe the proceedings.
