Lundí: The World's First Luxury, Heated Smart-Boots Available March 22nd on Kickstarter
daughter-father duo launch ultimate line of tech-enabled, Italian-leather boots
Cambridge, MA, March 22, 2016 (Newswire.com) - A Harvard Business School student and her nuclear-engineer father have developed the world’s first luxury, heated smart-boots. Available starting March 22nd on Kickstarter, lundí boots have been handcrafted in Italy from full-grain leather, and are the ultimate sophisticated staple of any woman’s closet. Lundí’s technology keeps you toasty – its smartphone app allows for effortless control of each boot’s temperature down to the degree.

Katie Lefkowitz (Founder) moved from Los Angeles to Boston, just in time for the snowiest winter on record. Throughout this never-ending polar vortex, Katie found herself displeased with the available footwear options: Ugly in Uggs. Freezing in Fryes. Sweating in Sorels. Enlisting the support of her father, Sheldon Lefkowitz, the daughter-father duo has worked tirelessly to bring this product from idea to prototype. They now turn to Kickstarter to bring it from prototype to production.
“The pain of footwear in the winter is undeniable,” said Katie, “People have controlled temperature indoors for over 100 years – it’s time we bring this outside, starting from the ground up.” Sheldon elaborated, “Wearable technology has so far failed to impress on form, while underwhelming users on function.”
The lundí team needs your help to make this boot a reality. Please visit their Kickstarter campaign (bit.ly/lundis) for more information and the option to join the lundí family: one who dreams to design a boot that you’ll love to wear – everywhere.
