Luxury Lafayette Complex Assists Boulder Fire Victims
Online, September 29, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The developers of a new, luxury apartment complex in Lafayette have offered six months of accommodation at no cost to those who lost their homes in the Fourmile Boulder fire.
Prana, a $30 million, 254 unit "Colorado Lifestyle" luxury apartment community opened its doors this month. Erik Foster, spokesperson and counsel for developer, Milestone Development Group, said that the company was offering apartments to those who had lost their homes in the recent conflagration. "We thought this would be a good opportunity to give back to our community in a time of need," said Foster. The complex, on South Public Road in Lafayette, is one mile north of the Northwest Beltway, adjacent to Good Samaritan Hospital on Highway 287.
Efforts to make the apartments available to fire victims have been coordinated through the "sparkplace.com" website aka "fourmilefirehelp.com", which is monitored by the Red Cross and Boulder Housing Authority. Applicants get a "disaster referral form" from either the Red Cross or the Boulder Housing Authority, confirming they are eligible, and then take that document to Prana.
The complex features a 5,400 square foot clubhouse with a five lane heated pool, spa, dog wash and a professionally equipped 24/7 exercise facility. Units feature upgraded appliances, including washers and dryers, walk-in closets in every bedroom, high speed Internet access, and unobstructed front range views.
The property is bordered by Boulder County Open Space and a new all season park, with numerous hiking trails and bike lanes integrated into Boulder County's extensive trail system.
Foster said that the complex had already received several referrals.
