Glendale, Arizona USA, September 19, 2014 (Newswire.com) - GWL Publishing, an imprint of Great War
Literature Publishing, is pleased to announce
"We are really pleased to represent Cheri and her books," says Steve Lawrance, co-founder of GWL Publishing. "We are always looking to assist writers in bringing their words and ideas to fruition, as we're very aware of how difficult it can be for those who have never been traditionally published, to launch their careers." "We are delighted to be able to bring The Truth and nothing but Lies to the market," Steve continues. "It's a fast-paced mystery thriller, in which the message doesn't get lost, but doesn't dominate either. Readers will relate to Grant Greene and his doubts, but in the end, despite some of the harsh and realistic content, this is a story full of optimism, trust and faith."
Cheri Vause, Author/Novelist
its latest publication, The Truth and nothing but
Lies by Chéri Vausé.
This novel, currently available as a paperback and e-book, is a
mystery thriller, centred around FBI Special Agent in Charge,
Grantham "Grant" Greene, and his investigation into a series of
bombings, targeting Women's clinics in Washington and Oregon.
There seems to be no shortage of suspects, some of whom are
closer to home than even Grant suspects as he puts aside his
disillusionment with his job and takes the most difficult case of
his career. He is being pressured for a speedy result, not only by
his boss, but also by his politically ambitious father, both of
whom understand the potential for these attacks to cause a
nationwide controversy. He's given just one weekend to discover
the identity of the attacker, but in doing so, uncovers the
involvement of a beautiful woman, who seems to have
committed suicide.
Hounded by his own doubts, the media,
his colleagues and his
father, Grant wonders if the whole bombing campaign is just a
publicity stunt, an insurance fraud, or whether there is
something much more sinister going on. As he discovers more
about the industry he's investigating, he starts to doubt his
long-held beliefs and question his involvement in the
investigation. Putting his personal feelings to one side, he delves
deeper and, as tragedy strikes, he is left wondering whether it's
possible to fall in love with someone you've never even met.
In her novel, Chéri Vausé creates an atmospheric mystery, while
informing and enlightening her reader in an entertaining and
thrilling journey. In Grant Greene, she has created a protagonist
who is at once charming, beguiling and human. He doubts
himself, but never those surrounding him and, even when his
beliefs and trust are tested to the limits, he remains true to
himself.
Chéri's experience working as a counsellor and Director of
Birthright in Pasco, Washington, have given her a unique insight
into the background of this story and many of the stories
portrayed in this novel are taken from her experiences at that
time.
