Machined Nylon Straight Hose Joiners By J1 Automotive

J1 automotive has just launched their new range of machined nylon hose joiners, straight connectors for under bonnet silicone hose applications.

There are many metallic connectors in the market today, straight tubes in chrome or aluminium, or machined joiners from a single billet, all of which offer a bright contrasting silver accent to the otherwise 'bland' engine bay, however, this is not for everyone. What j1 automotive have done with their black machined nylon connectors is to develop a high quality hose joiner with an OEM look, and professional feel which compliments all of the other engine bay components, and accentuates any chosen hose colours.

Each hose joiner offers 20mm of engagement for the silicon hose, either side of a 6mm shoulder. A flared end on either side of the connector will prevent hose pull off, when used in conjunction with a correctly sized hose clamp, and the shoulder is used to ensure uniform hose engagement. A selection of suitable stainless steel hose clamps are also offered on their online shop.

Nylon is over 50% lighter than aluminium, is very durable and can cope easily in temperatures well over 150 degrees and offers excellent resistance to the under bonnet environment.

Sizes are offered to suit silicon hoses with internal diameters of 60, 70 and 80mm, and due to the small level of engagement, can be utilised to within 20mm of a hose's internal radius if required. Although the range of diameters is small at the moment, j1 automotive have offered a bespoke service to create a hose joiner to suit your exact requirements, plus further diameters will be added in the near future.
