MAGE SOLAR on the brink of site selection for U.S. production facility

Georgia and Mississippi are potential states for business set up

MAGE SOLAR, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MAGE SOLAR GMBH, today announced that it is at the brink of a site selection for its MAGE POWERTEC module production facility in the USA. The states Georgia and Mississippi were able to prevail over a multitude of applicants and now take part in the final negotiations for the location of the production site.

After announcing the setup of a production facility for crystalline solar modules in the USA in October 2009, the company received a large number of applications for the future manufacturing site. Their close examination by MAGE SOLAR and the continuous efforts by the states have prolonged the selection process. In the end, Georgia and Mississippi were able to tie the most attractive packages to meet the requirements of the solar company.

"The response from the U.S. solar market to our products has been overwhelming; therefore we are anticipating a strong growth in sales," explains Norbert Philipp, CEO of MAGE SOLAR, Inc. "All the more important is it now to identify the perfect location for our manufacturing facility and to start the production of our MAGE POWERTEC modules as soon as possible."

The final site selection is expected to be announced in the next weeks. The new location will be home for the production facility for solar modules, as well as the company's headquarters.
