Classes to take place in fully renovated space at 75 Main Street, Newfields, NH

Newfields, N.H. - Main Street Art, a non-profit organization committed to inspiring and engaging artistic creativity for people of all ages and abilities, and to celebrate and strengthen the role of visual arts to local Seacoast residents, is pleased to announce its Fall 2010 class schedule, with classes beginning the week of Monday, September 6, 2010, and its grand opening celebration, on Friday, October 1st, 2010 from 3pm - 7pm at 75 Main Street, Newfields.

FALL CLASS SCHEDULE
Main Street Art offers drawing and painting, jewelry and metalwork, fiber arts, preschool and elementary age hands-on sculpting and crafts, interior design, knitting, basket weaving, teen classes and more, and strives to offer programs that are affordable and accessible to everyone. "We feel very fortunate to have such a diverse group of talented instructors," reflects Debbie Thompson, head of the teaching committee. "I really feel like we're able to offer something for just about everybody."
The fall session will begin the weeks of Monday, September 6, 2010 and Monday, September 13th, with classes running for seven (7) weeks. New classes this session include Introduction to Interior Design, Sculpting 3D for Kindergarteners, Explore Printmaking, Metal Jewelry Making for both teens and adults, and Selling Your Work Online. GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION
On Friday, October 1st at 3pm, Main Street Art invites friends and neighbors to discover and experience Main Street Art at its grand opening celebration at 75 Main Street, Newfields, NH (please park at the Newfields Town Hall located at 65 Main Street, Newfields, NH). The celebration will kick-off at 3pm. The festivities will continue inside with the unveiling of Into the Art, student work inspired by the artist Phillip Haas, as well as teacher and student artwork created in classes this past year. "Just like the arts, this center is for everyone," said Kelley Corson, President of Main Street Art. "So many people have been instrumental in making this happen that we felt hosting a grand opening celebration for artists, students, residents, families, volunteers, donors and neighbors would be the perfect way to open our doors."

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the renovated arts center; meet artists and teachers; enjoy light refreshments; learn more about the arts center; sign up for our email newsletter and register for classes.
