Majority of Homeowners Believe in Miracles
Online, February 22, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Apparently the majority of Americans believe in miracles when it comes to the housing market. A new survey shows that a majority of respondents feel that Congress and the White House should stop trying to repair the damaged housing market so it can heal itself.
As the U.S. struggles to recover from the worst downturn in real estate in decades, the Obama administration and Congress have been implementing efforts to help markets recover. The foreclosure crisis has topped 5-million homes and is gaining momentum as more and more homeowners, who have lost equity in their homes walk away from properties.
The new Housing Predictor opinion poll found that a majority say policymakers in Washington, D.C. should stop tinkering with the free market system to allow it to fix itself over time. Visit Housing Predictor dot com for details on the survey, check housing forecasts and mortgage rates.
