CloudBerry Lab has released CloudBerry Explorer v1.9.1, an application that allows users to manage files in Amazon S3 buckets just as they would on their local computers.
CloudBerry Explorer allows end users to accomplish simple tasks without special technical knowledge, automate time-consuming tasks to improve productivity.
With recently announced Private Content feature for CloudFront Streaming Distributions (http://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2010/03/28/amazon-cloudfront-now-in-singapore-adds-private-content-for-streaming/) users can have greater control over the content that they stream using Amazon CloudFront. This feature gives users detailed control over who is able to receive the streaming media, so they can use Amazon CloudFront to stream content that they do not wish to make publicly available.
The new version of CloudBerry Explorer allows users to manage Amazon CloudFront Private Content for Streaming Distributions. CloudBerry Explorer makes it easier for non-programmers configure CloudFront origin access identity, secure private content in Amazon S3, create CloudFront distributions for Private Content, create policy documents , sign requests and generate secure URLs and an html code for popular video players.
CloudBerry Explorer is designed to work on Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Windows 7. Microsoft PowerShell command line interface allows advanced computer users integrate Amazon S3 storage access with other routines.
CloudBerry Explorer for Windows is a freeware. CloudBerry Explorer PRO costs $39.99 (US). You will continue to pay Amazon directly for their S3 charges.
