Los Angeles, CA - Defying anyone wanting to pin a style or simple description to them, the Dirty-Punky-Latin-Reggae badass that is Mandorico will set out on a National tour this September through early October. Tour dates are listed below.

Mandorico's live performance is the signature of a band that has found that defining itself is more gratifying when showing rather than telling. The neatly wrapped and packaged description of them is "reggae, punk-rock, hip-hop and latin music [blended into a] volatile musical marriage." But the on-stage cornucopia of orchestrated movement and complex sounds is the real sell.

Lead singer Jesse Lauricella adds some more personal perspective and depth on what really makes Mandorico unique. Upon returning from a year in Mexico Lauricella set out to bridge a cultural gap in American music. The sound that has become Mandorico's own works so well because, according to Lauricella, "There are so many rich rhythms in Afro-Cuban music there is a great synergy with reggae and rock and there wasn't really anybody doing it in the US. I think we have presented something that didn't exist in the States before Mandorico."

The sound appeal is fully backed by a stunning live performance with impressive visual displays of motion and acrobatics; a perfect match for their masterfully blended and precise music. Mandorico's head-turning, jaw-dropping movements are known to break the guitars, drum heads, teeth and bones of the band members. Nevertheless, fans generally come away unscathed and turned on by the complex sounds and spectacular scene that is a Mandorcio show.

"Effort makes all the difference," says Lauricella when describing their live shows. "It's generally contained chaos and unbridled energy reigned in just enough to get the songs played. My constant disappointment seeing other shows is a lack of performance and movement. There's energy, message and authenticity in movement, all of which is employed in a Mandorico concert."

When drawing comparisons, Lauricella feels it is important to point out that there really is no one artist that fits neatly within all that Mandorico is. "We've never been accused of sounding like 'fill in the blank.' [The closest to us are] Ozomatli, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs and Flogging Molly in the intensity and passion. Additionally, we integrate culture and thought, not just in your face frantic performances. We are very high energy but there is a method and purpose to the madness. The stage show is a vehicle to convey the music on a deeper level. It is felt and experienced rather than just heard."

After a decade of touring, Lauricella confidentially stated; "I've never heard anyone say they weren't entertained at a Mandorico show."
