Manufacturers Alliance Announces Four New Leadership Peer Groups
ARLINGTON, Va., June 15, 2022 (Newswire.com) - The manufacturing sector continues to evolve its operations and talent to keep pace in a changing global environment. To provide support and align with the new needs of manufacturing leaders, Manufacturers Alliance launched four new peer groups in its Council programming: Diversity & Inclusion, Financial Planning & Analysis, Information & Cybersecurity, and Plant Management. Manufacturers Alliance Council programs are comprised of the senior-most leader within mid- to large Cap manufacturing companies with a large U.S. presence.
"As manufacturing continues its Industry 4.0 journey, the needs of its people have shifted as well. These new Council programs provide a community of support for growing leadership talent," said Manufacturers Alliance Executive Committee Vice Chair Raj Batra, President of Digital Industries at Siemens USA.
These peer groups allow functional leaders to address their pressing challenges, work cross-functionally, and provide communities of support to help the sector thrive by empowering its people.
- Diversity & Inclusion should always be part of a strong company culture, but with shifting employee needs and talent scarcity, getting it right is more important than ever before.
- Financial Planning & Analysis has grown in strategic importance over the past few years, making the role key to the CFO.
- Information & Cybersecurity has always been critical in manufacturing, but with the recent political uncertainty, more employees working remotely, and an increased threat landscape, the Council has a growing role to protect people, plants, and critical infrastructure.
- Plant Management has immense responsibility that continues to shift with new technologies and talent needs. Supporting plant managers underpins all member companies.
"Our Councils provide a unique opportunity for leaders to connect with their peers in manufacturing. This allows for robust networks, learning, and connections that support professional growth, which benefits individuals, their companies, and the sector overall," noted Manufacturers Alliance President and CEO Stephen Gold.
