Margin Films is Proud to Present Quentin Lee's First Novel 'The Secret Diary of Edward Ng' Exclusively on Kindle and Amazon
LOS ANGELES, August 16, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Back in New Haven in 1993, Quentin Lee began writing "The Secret Diary of Edward Ng" in his dorm room at Yale while he was getting his M.A. in English. He wrote it partly as a way to remember Berkeley where he came of age intellectually, partly to untangle his emotionally muddled relationship with his first boyfriend, and partly to overcome his lonely graduate student days.
"The Secret Diary of Edward Ng" is a sexual/intellectual coming of age story about 21-year-old Edward Ng’s last year at Berkeley where he flip-flops between sticking out in his non-monogamous relationship with his bisexual lover and consummating his unfinished love affair with his younger closeted cousin. As the emotional roller coaster unfolds in the present, the novel takes us intermittently to his past from growing up in Hong Kong with a social butterfly mother to journeying to San Francisco as a young adolescent to live with his emotionally abusive uncle.
Sexy, funny and honest, "The Secret Diary of Edward Ng" foretells the imminent vision of a generation that has intellectually come of age in the early 90s where feminism, gay politics and multiculturalism intersected, when the personal became political.
"The Secret Diary of Edward Ng" will be available on Aug. 28, 2019, exclusively as an e-book for purchase for $8.99 (U.S.) on Kindle and Amazon.com: https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Diary-Edward-Ng-ebook/dp/B07W6577VC
