With nearly 40 years dedicated to law, Mr. Reilley brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry and, in particular, to his areas of specialization, personal injury litigation as well as business and commercial defense work. When asked about his journey pursuing a career as an attorney, Mr. Reilley said:
"The idea of being a trial attorney was always of great interest to me. I loved the TV shows that involved attorneys back then: Judd, For the Defense, Perry Mason. It just looked like a very attractive lifestyle, and I've always liked the idea of being in front of audiences and performing."
In 1997, Mr. Reilley became one of the founding and managing partners of his own firm, Lanahan & Reilley LLP, where he served as chair of the firm's litigation department and refocused his specialty to representing plaintiffs in civil action cases involving wrongful death, personal injuries, financial abuse, insurance bad faith, and fraud. He left the firm in 2010 and started his own practice within the offices of Santa Rosa's Krankemann Peterson Law Firm.

As a leader in his field, Mr. Reilley makes sure to pay careful attention to prevailing trends in his areas of practice. In particular, he has noticed the growing issue of elder financial abuse in his local area. He noted:
"Elder financial abuse is becoming a bigger topic up where I am. I live in California wine country, which is a very nice retirement area for people, and we see more and more instances of elders being financially taken advantage of by one person or another."
