On December 6, 2009 and December 13, 2009 from 10am - 5pm, auditions will be held for the nationally recognized and celebrated "Hal Jackson's Talented Teens International" Competition at N.Y. Dance Academy, 116 Highline Drive, (off of SR 434) in Longwood, FL (32750). Billed as one of the most empowering and positive talent competitions nationwide, this distinctly respected talent competition is healthy, safe and empowering - intent on shining a bright, national light on talent, poise, intelligence and the inner beauty of young, ambitious and dedicated young woman across America. There is no entry of registration fee and the only strict requirement is that teen contestants must be 13 - 17 years old and must not turn 18 on or before the International Finals; which will be held next year on July 24, 2010.
"Hal Jackson's Talented Teens International" is an esteemed division of The Master Dance Series whose mission is to enrich the lives of both young children and adults through innovative outreach and community programs. Each year The Master Dance Series & Performances program reaches hundreds of people across Central Florida. On stage, our performers enthrall audiences through electrifying performances and in our workshops, professional teachers offer exceptional training to students in underserved communities and dance schools.
"Hal Jackson's Talented Teens International" Talent Competition touts countless scholarships and prizes. The Florida State winner will travel to compete for the International Title. The winner will meet and mingle with young ladies from all over the globe for an entire week where she will learn a spectacular, professional production number, tour the city, dine at a variety of restaurants, and stay in a four star hotel. Teens with talent, committed to excellence and showing the judges what it takes to win the Miss Florida crown, title, prizes and travel, are encouraged to carefully review the qualifications with a parent or legal guardian and prepare to compete in "Hal Jackson's Talented Teens international" - Florida!
Who: Young woman ages 13 to 17 to compete in the "Hal Jackson's Talented Teens" Talent Competition presented by Master Dance Series & Performances
What: Talent Competition in one or more of the following; voice, dance, theatre, music, gymnastics, poetry, magic and more. ** (Please note that in this particular competition, modeling has not qualified as a creative expression.)**
Where: N.Y. Dance Academy, 116 Highline Drive, (off of SR 434), Longwood, FL 32750.
Orlando Metro Area /Orange County
Dates: Auditions will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2009 AND Sunday, December 13, 2009.
Time: 10am-12noon, 12-2pm, 2-5pm audition time slots on BOTH DAYS.
Pre-Registration: YES. Must call to schedule audition - VITAL. A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED.
Qualifications:
• Must audition with a performing talent no more than 2 minutes long
• Ability to speak well
• Parent must complete and sign a NO FEE Application
• Must be between the ages 13 and 17 (not 18 before or on July 24, 2010)
• Must not be contract signed with a recording label
• Must not hold a current title to another competition or pageant
• Must present a birth certificate and photo of herself only
After contestant has been selected from the audition, she, along with other competitors will receive FREE training in
Each area of etiquette required to win the competition. In order to compete for any prizes - competitors MUST
AUDITION and PERFORM. A formal orientation will then follow.
Talented Teen participants benefit from the opportunity to win the following: college scholarships, state winner earns an all-expense paid trip to Bermuda for the International Finals, etiquette classes, speech classes, appearances at state and community events and beauty, grooming & personal presentation instructions and coaching including makeup, posture, walking, sitting, hair care, and so much more.
