MathRider, the Math Game for Kids Provides Free Updates
Sharper Edge, the specialist software developer is pleased to announce that it will make updates to its MathRider math game for kids available for free to customers. The game is designed to help children master arithmetic in the fastest way possible.
Online, March 25, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Sharper Edge International is a boutique software house that first developed the MathRider math facts game for kids in 2010 to help children master arithmetic faster. Future versions of the game will now be made available free of charge to all customers.
The company's founder and director, Thomas Brand stated that this move is to recognize the active dialog with its customers and to stay true to the company's mission of helping families achieve their educational goals.
According to Mr Brand the company is constantly looking for ways to improve the game and is actively gathering feedback from its user community.
"So it only makes sense to share the improvements back with our community of families and educators, many of whom generously provide us with feedback and suggestions in the first place."
Originally Mr Brand created MathRider to help his own children. But he soon found there was a much wider need in the community for an intelligent math game for kids.
Rather than just providing times tables practice, the game helps children master all arithmetic math facts, covering numbers zero to twelve in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Says Thomas Brand, "I found that my children's understanding of math concepts such as addition or multiplication was quite sound - and what they really needed was sufficient practice. That is the case with most children."
Brand continues: "We built an auto-update feature into the software right from day one. Originally it was to enable us to roll out bug fixes and such. But as we developed a dialog with the families that were using our software, it became clear to us that we wanted to do more for them."
"So we decided to roll out new, improved versions of our math game for kids using the auto-update feature, too. It just makes sense. We're incorporating a lot of people's feedback into the game. Why would we keep such improvements away from the very people suggesting them in the first place?"
"Part of what makes this so exciting for all of us at Sharper Edge International is that we know we're making a real difference to families out there. Arithmetic is everywhere in everyday life. And it is the foundation of all other areas of math. That means it is essential for children to master it completely and thoroughly. And this is exactly what MathRider does.", Brand concludes.
The company is currently working on Version 4 of MathRider, due out mid 2012.
