MAUSER and IBA Partner on New IBC Packaging Concept for the Food Industry
Online, March 23, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The new MAUSER FP15 Aseptic combines the strength and robustness of the MAUSER SM IBC series with an innovative aseptic flex bag developed by Intermediate Bulk Alliance (IBA), a German based specialist in food supply chain solutions. With its latest product innovation MAUSER provides a one way packaging solution for short and long distance transportation, addressing the specific needs of industries demanding aseptic packaging solutions.
The new MAUSER FP15 Aseptic combines the advantages of MAUSER's SM15 IBC plastic pallet and its rigid tube frame cage with a flexible inner packaging. This flexible inner packaging itself is a combination of an outer PP-woven fabric and a metalized, highly stress crack resistant LDPE-foil liner. Its high performance plastic valve is steamable at up to 125°C and based on its DN50 dairy pipe thread allows easy adaption of food industries standard filling equipment - sterile below level filling and emptying at no risk. For even easier emptying of highly viscous products the MAUSER FP 15 Aseptic comes with an air assist option.
With the new FP15 Aseptic, MAUSER expands its IBC portfolio beyond the limits of standard composite IBC. No matter if used for the transportation of fruit and vegetable concentrates, fruit pulp and pastes, high viscosity food products, dairy products, liquid eggs, fragrances, or flavors - MAUSER's FP15 Aseptic preserves freshness and increases shelf life of many sensitive filling goods in a fully sterile and efficient way.
"At 1,000 liters volume, the FP15 Aseptic is the perfect food packaging for long and short distance transportation," states Joost Quirijnen as the responsible sales
representative at MAUSER Group. "Our customers see clear logistical benefits versus multi-trip stainless steel asset tanks. Compared to one-way packaging, the standardized IBC structure makes the MAUSER FP15 Aseptic a perfect choice for transport in ISO containers or space saving, stacked storage. Last but not least we are able to offer worldwide recollection service for the MAUSER FP15 Aseptic via our subsidiary National Container Group (NCG)."
In October 2013, IBA presented the FP15 Aseptic for the first time to a broader audience at the ANUGA trade fair in Cologne, Germany, as the world's largest and most important food and beverage fair.
"With its unique combination of performance and service features, the MAUSER FP15 Aseptic and the benefits in handling and logistics coming with it, convinced our audience immediately," explains Sascha Siebel, Manager Operations and Product Development at IBA. "They were impressed by the many technical details incorporated in this new packaging concept. The newly designed and patent applied emptying pipe system, which allows almost residue free emptying of highly viscous products, is just one example. Highly sensitive products need a safe packaging solution. The aseptic IBC is the perfect packaging solution combining economical and logistical benefits without compromising on safety."
