mCare Labs to Commercialize Next-generation Mobile Healthcare Services

mCare Labs, a newly formed start-up based in San Francisco USA, aims to build the next-generation infrastructure for pervasive mobile healthcare services

Todays medical infrastructure entails some major limitations and challenges.

First, the current-generation medical infrastructure is inefficient and leads to inflated costs for overall patient care. Because chronically-ill and hospitalized patients are often tethered to instrumentation, available medical capacity is severely limited and rarely, if ever, efficiently utilized.

Second, decades-old medical systems in-place does not help either as the patient quality-of-care fails to improve.

Finally, current-generation medical systems were not designed to exploit the future medical advances such as in: microchip technology; remotely-controlled wireless devices implanted within the body and operated at the molecular level; or, advances in nanotechnology, biosciences, bioengineering, biochemistry and biotechnology that hold the promise of an ever-expanding pool of medical knowledge in these disciplines.

mCare Labs is rethinking the evolution of future medical services by building the next-generation infrastructure for pervasive mobile healthcare services. The aims are: (1) to dramatically reduce the medical costs for patient care, (2) to significantly increase the medical capacity and enhance the patient quality-of-service, and, (3) to create a flexible 'standard-based' medical ecosytem that help exploit future medical advances and also support mobile healthcare providers and clinical device vendors.

mCare Labs is building a small team to demonstrate the next-generation mobile medical services through a 'proof-of-concept' prototype.
